Peter van der Veer

Peter van der Veer is the author of The Modern Spirit of Asia: The Spiritual and the Secular in China and India and most recently The Value of Comparison. He works currently on the topic of refugees in Germany and directs a comparative project on Death and Mourning at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity together with Tam Ngo at the Radboud University in Nijmegen.
