Nathaniel Roberts

Nathaniel Roberts has research interests in the anthropology of religion (especially Christianity) and secularism, the relationship between national elite and subaltern subpopulations, and the cultural logic of political representation and “democracy.” His monograph on religious conversion among Dalit slum dwellers in Chennai, The Power of Conversion and Foreignness of Belonging, will be published in 2016.
