Maya Mayblin

Maya Mayblin works on the anthropology of politics, ritual and religion, gender, morality, and the history and practice of Catholicism in Brazil. Recently she has been engaging with anthropology at the intersection of theology, politics, and continental philosophy, and has been carrying out research on different manifestations of ‘Catholic dissent’. Right now she has two books in progress: a monograph on Brazilian priests in politics, and a co-edited companion-reader on The Anthropology of Catholicism.
