Katy Gardner has recently become interested in natural resources and industrialisation in Bangladesh, in particular the effects of land loss, corporatisation and ‘corporate social responsibility’ on poverty and inequality. She is the author of Discordant Development: Global Capitalism and the Struggle for Connection in Bangladesh.
