Janet Carsten

Janet Carsten is the author of After Kinship and has edited Ghosts of Memory: Essays on Remembrance and Relatedness and Blood will out: essays on liquid transfers and flows. She has recently finished a new book manuscript, Blood Work: Unstable Objects and Ambiguous Spaces in Penang. She is PI on a new five-year collaborative project on marriage funded by an ERC Advanced Grant, A Global Anthropology of Transforming Marriage (AGATM), which began in January 2017.
